Silence

Uncategorized 1 Minute

Silence.

Even for a brief moment,

Deafens the soul.

Memories, tormented,

Scream

Doubts yell

Thoughts big and small speak at once—-

Truth whispers.

The distractions in life,

Are so-called protection in reality

But silence crumbles even the toughest façade.

Listen for truth.

Wisdom and peace abide there.

When truth is heard,

Noise ceases.

Nothing more to fear—

Silence.

The key to liberation.

Hey there! My name is Julia. I started writing poetry 3 years ago. I'm in high school right now. I write to cope and express things I don't know how to, or capture moments that may go unnoticed by most. My goal in my writing is like any art: to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. God has given me this gift and I would like to share it :)
