Sewing Needle

Who knew a sewing needle could tear my life apart?

An object meant to strengthen,

To unify.

I used it to destroy my skin.

Skin that was carefully knit together by my creator.

Its tip dug restlessly,

Tearing me apart.

All the while I’d hoped it would put together, my heart its eye was my comfort.

It saw my pain,

It cried my blood.

Torn by my pain,

I clung to the sewing needle.—

It stands for unification and strength.

How silly of me to think it could mend

The very thing inside of me

That had been torn apart—

Though its pain brought me comfort,

It was only temporary.

Its eye saw my pain, yet never helped.

Its eye cried my blood, yet never had compassion.

The Lord saw my pain, and stepped in to rescue me

The Lord bottled my tears and blood,

For His heart ached too.

In my pain, he calls to me.

When in despair, I must make a choice.

Listen to the truth, or

Feed the lies.

Death.

Death.

Always a close shadow.

Flowing from life itself,

A reflection.

It can be seen, and felt

Its coolness,

A mercy.

For without the shadow,

Where would a weary voyager rest?

Its darkness,

A complex beauty all its own.

Death.

Sky

The gravity of freedom.

Floating hall of majesty

On display.

Providing life,

Taking away all the same.

Under Sovereignty.

Many wish to float free,

But to see the world as it truly is

Is to look through the omniscient eyes of heaven.

Violence, chaos

Beauty and peace

Abide together under a hall of majesty.

The weight of the world on its shoulders.

It floats free.

The gravity of freedom belongs not to itself,

But to the Sovereignty above all.

Love

If he truly loves you,

He will put the Lord first.

If he truly lives you,

He will seek light, truth.

If he truly loves you,

He will build you up, not tear down.

If he truly loves you,

He will treasure your heart.

If he truly loves you,

He will show you, not just tell you.

If he truly loves you,

He will touch your souls before your body.

If he truly loves you,

He will clothe you with respect, even if you stand naked before him

Only if he truly knows you,

Only if he truly seeks the Lord,

Can he truly love you.

Silence

Silence.

Even for a brief moment,

Deafens the soul.

Memories, tormented,

Scream

Doubts yell

Thoughts big and small speak at once—-

Truth whispers.

The distractions in life,

Are so-called protection in reality

But silence crumbles even the toughest façade.

Listen for truth.

Wisdom and peace abide there.

When truth is heard,

Noise ceases.

Nothing more to fear—

Silence.

The key to liberation.

Wisdom

Wisdom is bitter sweet,

Frustration and freedom.

Seeing with perspecuity,

All.

The good,

The bad.

With awareness of the world,

Wisdom’s mind runs,

But is deeply rooted.

How can there be so much revealed,

Yet one still feels helpless?

Wisdom is not mine to carry in its entirety,

For wisdom Himself knows all.

The omniscient, omnipresent

A kosmos,

Far greater than I.
